English: "Sticky. The nights down right cold. I haven’t slept under less than two blankets since arriving out here and I’m very much afraid that when winter comes I’m going to freeze to death. Not a very pleasant outlook, but remember this is California.
I’m still trying to find out where anyone could find the nerve to compare the climate of Florida with that of California. In my estimate Florida wind hands down.
