Dear Dad: Just a few lines to let you know that I am still O.K. and expect to remain so for some time. I received your last letter-the one in which you acknowledged the receipt of the money orders-and was very glad to hear of Mother’s and Aunt Adda’s, visit. (Mother also told me about it.) Things out here have apparently cooled off to a certain extent, but not so long ago we were experiencing some rather hectic days and nights.
