For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Rosenthal, Blick auf die Dorfleistungstafel ZB-14.12.1956 Gute Leistungen der Bauern von Rosenthal. Bürgermeisterin Erika Jansen und Gemeinderat Emil Schmidt haben Grund zur Freude, denn die gemeinsamen Anstrengungen der Bauern, des Gemeinderates und der Kommission für Landwirtschaft führten zum Erfolg. In Rosethal, Kreis Hersberg, gibt es keine Getreide- und Karfoffelrückstände mehr. Die Winterfurche ist zu 95 Prozent gezogen, damit im nächsten Jahr eine gute Ernte eingebracht werden kann.
