Egregio sig. Mosca

l'Ada, che ho qui da qualche giorno, mi ha portato il ritratto della mia cara scomparsa da Lei eseguito. La somiglianza è perfetta specialmente se si considera che è stata ricavato da una piccola fotografia e che il pittore non conobbe mai l'originale.

Mia figlia ed io non sappiamo come ringraziarla, Egregio Sig. Mosca; noi rivediamo con commozione la nostra cara e siamo vivamente riconoscente alla Angiolina che, con pensiero squisitamente gentile, ha voluto regalarci la bella opera.

Se Ella avrà occasione di recarsi a Milano, le sarò molto grato se vorrà venire a trovarci.

La prego di riverire per mia figlia e per me la gentile sua Signora e la gentile sua Signorina.

A Lei invio i miei migliori e più distinti saluti.
