Summary
[edit]DescriptionFairchild uA741 opamp 6920.jpg |
English: This is a uA741 operational amplifier (opamp) made by Fairchild Semiconductor in 1969 (during the Apollo 11 program). The tiny wires are 1 mil in diameter which is about 3 to 4 times smaller than a human hair! When you look closely at the silicon die in the center of the image there is a relatively large metal area which is the 30pF capacitor required compensate the amplifier. This was the first internally compensated amplifier which gained huge popularity over the decades. I used a Canon 6D, 180mm macro lens with polarizer and 12+20+36mm extension tubes, f/6.3, 5 sec., ISO 100, 12 images stacked using Helicon Focus 6, method B. I used Magic Lantern set at 10 steps per image to automate the focus stepping. |
