English: Name: Givat Kach Heichal Nehemiah synagogue Description: The special synagogue founded by the immigrants from the village of Channamangalam in India, Rabbi Nehemiah ben Avraham Muta (1555 December 20, 1620) served as a spiritual leader, bard and poet in the Jewish community in Cochin. He is considered the highest religious authority among the Jews of Cochin and the greatest Jewish rabbi in India during his time. עברית: שם: גבעת כח בית כנסת היכל נחמיה תיאור: בית הכנסת המיוחד שהקימו העולים מהכפר צ'נאמנגלאם שבהודו הרב נחמיה בן אברהם מוטא (1555 20 בדצמבר 1620) שימש כמנהיג רוחני, כפייטן וכמשורר בקהילה היהודית בקוצ'ין. הוא נחשב לסמכות הדתית הגבוהה ביותר בקרב יהודי קוצ'ין ולמקובל היהודי הגדול בהודו בתקופתו. הערות: גִּבְעַת כֹּ"חַ , הוא מושב של תנועת המושבים ליד היישוב שוהם השייך למועצה אזורית חבל מודיעין. המושב נמצא בגבול השפלה ולרגלי הרי יהודה.היישוב הוקם בשנת 1950 על ידי עולים מתימן. בשנת 1962 הצטרפו למושב 14 משפחות שמקורן בהתיישבות עולים מקוצ'ין (הודו) במושב עלמה ב-1954, הם השתלבו בחיי הקהילה בגבעת כ"ח ואף הקימו במושב את בית הכנסת "היכל נחמיה" על שם נחמיה מוטא.אנדרטה הוצבה על גבעה כ- 3 ק"מ ממזרח לכפר לזכרם של חללי חטיבת אלכסנדרוני, שנפלו על כיבוש הכפר הערבי קולה שישב במקום עד למלחמת העצמאות.(ויקיפדיה) מיקום: גבעת כח קובץ מקורי: 20240411_094104.jpg |
