Summary[edit]

Description
English: Accelerated failure test with the method of damage cumulation:
  • a sample under a stress level Si fails at a time ti, with S2 > S1;
  • a test is performed under a stress level S2 during at2 (0 < a < 1), then after a stress level S1; the failure occurs at t'1.
Hypothesis: the damage cumulate linearly. It can be represented by an integrity level which ranges from 1 (no damage) to 0 (failure) and which decreases linearly for a given stress level.
Français : Essai de défaillance accéléré avec la méthode des domages cumulés :
  • un échantillon soumis à un niveau de contrainte Si présente une défaillance après un temps ti, avec S2 > S1 ;
  • on effectue un test avec une contrainte S2 pendant un temps at2 (0 < a < 1), puis avec une contrainte S1 ; la défaillance survient à l'instant t'1.
Hypothèse : les dommages se cumulent linéairement. On peut représernter cela par un niveau d'intégrité qui va de 1 (pas de dommage) à 0 (défaillance) et qui décroît de manière linéaire pour un niveau de contrainte donné.
