Usage
Use this template to add a reference to a taxon on the web site www.worldbirdnames.org of the en:International Ornithological Congress.
Note: This template can be used in conjunction with {{Taxoconflict}}, {{Taxa}}, {{Genera}}, {{Genera2}}, {{Species}}, {{Species2}} and {{Subspecies}} with parameter "source=IOC3.1" (See here the different values for source)

Parameters
  • familyName (New syntax)
The name of the taxon's family
Sample (for Sylvia): Sylviidae
  • orderName (Very old syntax)
The name of the taxon's order
Sample (for Sylvia): Sylviidae
  • englishName (Old and very old syntax)
The englishName of the order or group refers to the page name the group is included under at the IOC World Bird List website.
How to retrieve the englishName: In the url www.worldbirdnames.org/warblers/ the englishName is warblers
Sample (for Sylvia): babblers
  • taxonName (optional if taxon described is the order)
The scientific name of the taxon described (don't forget italic for genus and species).
Sample (for Sylvia): ''Sylvia'' Scopoli, 1769
  • note=<note> (optional)
To add a note below the ioc link (It can be a copy of the "Comments" column of the IOC page).
