Description
Español: Imagen de la laguna de los Pájaros, situada en la zona norte del Parque Natural de Peñalara (Comunidad de Madrid, España) y a una altura de 2.169. Se asienta en una pradera relativamente llana ubicada al norte de los riscos de los Pájaros (2.334 m) y de los Claveles (2.388 m), dos de los picos de más difícil acceso del macizo de Peñalara, los cuales se aprecian en la imagen. A esta laguna se accede por un sendero de unos 5,5 km de longitud que sale del puerto de Cotos y que pasa por otras lagunas glaciares del parque natural. En la imagen, que está tomada en invierno, se aprecia que la laguna está parcialmente congelada. En este estado se encuentra desde diciembre hasta marzo, por lo que en ella solo habitan anfibios y no peces.
