Summary[edit]

Description
English: Territorial adult chasing away an immature Red Tailed Hawk. The immature bird has a brown tail. The tail is only red after the first molt. This could be the parent bird with offspring or simply an adult warding off an intruding immature bird. The adult dives after the immature bird whose right wing is hidden behind its back as it turns to evade him. Taken in Malden, MA
