This map omits the northern parts of Zealandia. The outline shown for the microcontinent also seems to be incorrect, or at least inconsistent with the English Wikipedia article. According to that, the Hikurangi Plateau is part of Zealandia, but it seems to be excluded here. This is perhaps the biggest problem, but the Dampier Ridge in the northwest seems to be excluded as well. -- Avenue 00:57, 28 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The data relies on these sources:
according to this, the Hikurangi Plateau doesn't seem to part of the Zealandia microcontinent
However; all sources I've found are quite inconistent in some details, the alternative would be to omit the outline on the map --Alexrk 21:29, 6 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
After some recent discussion on the English article's talk page, it was agreed that the Hikurangi Plateau is not included, so that seems correct. I'm still concerned about the northern parts. The first source you list above is the first I've seen that does not include New Caledonia. I think it is useful to have the outline on the map, although we might want a further dashed outline to indicate parts that are unclear. I'll look around some more. -- Avenue 04:40, 23 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

latitude and longitude marks are incorrect[edit]

The latitude indicated in this image as 45°S is actually approximately 33°S. The latitude indicated as 46°S seems to be correct. The longitude indicated as 176°E is actually approximately 166°E; that indicated as 180°E is approximately 176°E; and that indicated as 176°W actually looks like it might be 180°E. It seems that the latitude and longitude marks have been removed altogether since I wrote my previous comment. That's better than having incorrect marks, of course, but correct marks would be even better. Teemu Leisti (talk) 12:25, 13 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
