Fact disputed[edit]

This map pretends to be an accurate description of a geo-political concept. I believe this is Original Research, based on non-reliable sources. See en:Greater Europe and en:Talk:Greater Europe. The Ogre (talk) 13:29, 4 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with THE OGRE, IMHO this map should be deleted (obliterated) and a better one should be found (along with proper sources). The map includes Jordan and several Asian countries who might be influenced by the wider Western world, but being a part of a 'Greater Europe' seems to be quite a stretch (in other words: OR). Specific problems in the map:
  • Since when does geographical Europe include the whole of the Asian parts of Rusia, as well as all the other countries from the fomer Soviet Union, well beyond the en:Ural Mountains or the en:Caucasus Mountains?!?
  • Since when does geographical Europe include the whole of the Asian parts of Turkey (en:Anatolia)?!?
  • Since when does geographical Europe include the whole of en:Israel (as a single area isolated in the en:Middle East)?!?
  • Since when does geographical Europe include the whole of en:Greenland?!?

Proper Map[edit]

A proper map of the location of Europe in the world already exists. The Ogre (talk) 16:54, 12 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
