Conditional visa treatment shouldn't be marked[edit]

Some countries such as Russia, Tunisia, Philippines, Japan, Bangladesh etc. provide conditional visa treatments for specific travellers like tour group members and invition holders, these policies are ususally complex and details may be different from country to country, in additon, maps of most other countries only contain visa policies for blank passport holders. So these conditional policies shouldn't be marked on the map. Whisper of the heart 04:00, 9 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

A conditional visa waiver is a type of visa waiver. So we shouldn't ignore it. I can't understand why you say no.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Lades2222 (talk • contribs) 2023-3-9 06:03 (UTC)
Conditional visa treatments contain various kindssuch as tour group visa waiver, visa on arrival with invition, visa free entry with a third-country visa, and so on, tour group visa waiver is not special from others to mark on the map, just like most other maps on Wiki. In addition, these kinds of treatments doesn't demonstrate the convenience of one passport, statistics such as Henley Passport Index don't contain them as well. So it shouldn't be shown on map to avoid readers from being confused.--Whisper of the heart 08:37, 9 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I read your replay well.
Sorry but I only half agree.
If there are many types mentioned, we can incorporate them in different colors. (Like Hong Kong or Taiwan..)
You don't have to think complicatedly.
If a visa waiver exists, it must be indicated in some way, even if it is conditional.
according to your opinion, exceptions should not be made for Hong Kong and Taiwan.
They are also complex systems.
It's just a your think that some case are allowed and some case aren't.
There are no rules on Wikimedia (or Wikipedia) for determining visa cases.
Visa types may change from time to time.
As you do your will, so will I do mine.
Thank you. Lades2222 (talk) 10:51, 12 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Chinese visa free[edit]

I can't agree with @Lades2222: .
In my opinion, visa preferential treatment that can only be achieved with a visa from a third country is by no means real,
and organizations like H&P, passport index, and even the Chinese government think so.
In the Chinese Wikipedia, we define special requirements like this:
"Require foreign tourists to hold additional documents such as invitation letters,
third-country visas, and restrictions on the scope of activities of foreign tourists."
What we want to convey is the real visa benefits.
If you have a Chinese passport,
you will know what I mean. --K.Y.K.Z.K. (talk) 01:02, 4 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, you seem to be thinking about it wrong.
Currently, what I marked is exemption for the passport of 'group tourist' and 'public official' holder.
And this has nothing to do with third country visas.
If you are a Chinese citizen, you might be thinking about (visa waiver) rights to them.
It all stems from entry into Russia, and it's hard to ignore the dubious China-Russia visa policy.
When the day comes when the Russian side resumes the e-Visa,
i will finish by removing the color of the guitar painted purple and adding the color of the e-Visa to the Russian region. Lades2222 (talk) 01:49, 4 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
In fact, the holding rate of public official passports is extremely low.
As far as I know, only national athletes and
executives of state-owned enterprises can use it.
As for the visa-free treatment for tour groups,
I think this is a limited condition.
But I think this color block can be preserved.

Unconditional visa treatment for each country looks similar and can be simply divided into visa-free, visa on arrival and evisa, but conditional visa policy for each country varies dramaticly, it's hard to categorize so not very meaningful to print on map.--Whisper of the heart 02:38, 4 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Whisper of the heart and Lades2222: Last night, I made the following changes to this map based on the actual situation:
  1. Remove the meaningless “Conditional treatment” color block.
  2. Move Phu Quoc Island from Cambodia to Vietnam, and colored green as "Visa not required".
  3. Colored Russia's color as “eVisa”.
  4. The colors of Nigeria, the Democratic Republic of Congo and South Africa are colored gray based on the actual situation.
It makes no sense to color the conditional treatments and visa exemption in official passports. After looking at the map, many people think that there are many visa-free countries for Chinese passports, and they use wrong information to quote them. All I do is stick to my truth and conscience.--K.Y.K.Z.K. (talk) 06:07, 17 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I can accept other things.
However, Nigeria has eVisa for all countries and South Africa also has an eVisa for Chinese citizens.
So I even included a link.
Nigeria - https://visa.immigration.gov.ng
South Africa - https://ehome.dha.gov.za/epermit/home Lades2222 (talk) 06:35, 17 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I'm glad you accepted some of my suggestions. However, after my attempts, applying for a Nigerian electronic visa requires an invitation letter from Nigeria, which is indeed difficult for ordinary travelers. The South African e-visa is currently unable to be processed due to technical problems, which is stated on the website of the South African Consulate General in Shanghai. Thank you for your help and I hope this discussion will help resolve any misunderstandings between us. K.Y.K.Z.K. (talk) 11:48, 17 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I also glad that the compromise worked.
And appreciate your polite words.
I hope we can be of strength to each other for the future. Lades2222 (talk) 14:00, 17 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Nigerian e-visa[edit]

Most cases can be found online that Chinese citizens obtaing Nigerian e-visas are for business purpose which invitation is required, but there's no enough information about applying tourist visa. In addition, Nigerian e-visa website asks applicants (including those for tourist visa) to provide a reference person/organization in Nigeria, I guess tourist visa applicants just need to upload their hotel information (I am not 100% sure but many some other countries' e-visa work like this). Also, it looks like Nigerian e-visa is not a typical e-visa, it works more similar to Thai E-VOA. So how to categorize Nigerian visa policy?--Whisper of the heart 19:28, 19 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

That's a real E-visa, although they need a local contact. K.Y.K.Z.K. (talk) 09:51, 3 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

About Indian visa[edit]

@Lades2222: The cause of the incident was that last year China wasn't open student visa applications, so the Indian government retaliated by announcing that it would suspend the application of tourist visas for Chinese tourists. [1] As of today, it has not been restored. Now I log on to the visa center website of the Indian Embassy in China to apply for a visa, and there is no option for a tourist visa at all. K.Y.K.Z.K.
