This page is a contains the same map as "Ukraine census 2001 Ukrainians.svg" but is spelled (wrongly) with cencus. Also Ukrainians in the title has been changed to Ukrainian compared to the other file. This misspelled file contains several errors in the stated numbers in the map. These are not those reported in the 2001 census: "About number and composition population of UKRAINE by data All-Ukrainian population census'2001 data". I have backed up the census data because the census site seems to be poorly maintained. If the link above becomes inoperative please replace it with a working one or PM me for the backup. I will nominate this file for deletion. AlwaysUnite (talk) 16:45, 22 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I started editing this afternoon on these two files. I thought they were the same but they in fact represent Nationality and Native Language which are not quite the same. The data Jirka.h23 found and inserted in File:Ukraine census 2001 Ukrainians.svg were the language data. Both files are highly similar and therefore I think confusing. Since I have found the two datasets of both nationality and language I think I will create a map with the difference between the two for Ukrainian Nationality/Language. I think it is most useful to keep a file of the language map because it is used like a language map on most pages. The nationality data can, I think, be represented best in the now empty "nationality" section of Demographics of Ukraine. AlwaysUnite (talk) 20:40, 22 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Actually File:Ukraine census 2001 Ukrainians.svg was about Ukrainians as ethnicity, and File:Ukraine cencus 2001 Ukrainian.svg was about Ukrainian as language. Your edits have mixed everything together, and then AlwaysUnite replaced the map everywhere. This provoked some edit wars where users removed maps as "irrelevant", thus I had to revert all these edits in several dozens of wikis. Please check twice between making such changes. Thanks — NickK (talk) 00:48, 23 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Ouch, sorry then. Good you reverted all mine and AlwaysUnite edits. They are really highly similar, confusing name of the file should be changed:) (e.g. Ukraine census 2001 Ukrainian language.svg) And one more little thing, Chernihiv Oblast looks to have wrong color, if someone will have time to change it.
