Shamrock?[edit]

few comments[edit]

  1. the third quarter of the shield (irish harp) must be more clear inorder to instantly identify it as a Harp
  2. the second quarter of the shield (rampant lion) must also be fixed,
  3. the belt of the order of the garter also has to be fixed (more clear and contrast colours)

OK, here is what i meant.
  1. the strings of the irish harp must be separated from each other, so it will be more simplified and thus more clear.
  2. in the second quarter of the shielf (lion rampant) there isn't enough fleur de lis in the frame of the quarter. an example of a right lion rampant can be seen here
  3. the colours of the belt of the order of the garter (the one around the shield), are not enough contrasting.. it should be a darker blue vs. yellow. and the same for the stripe of the Motto in the bottom of the coat of arms.

  1. This is a harp seen from the distance. Harps are big instruments with not very spaciated strings (see an example). Same happens with two versions of this CoA (1,2) Furthermore, this is an svg, and that means that this image can be maximized as much as you want (for instance to print them in an A2 paper), so there is no reason to lose realism in order to see the strings separated in a tiny thumbnail. You can see the strings here, for instance.
  2. Do you have sources saying that of this CoA? Here, here and herethere are the same number of fleur de lis.

Unicorn[edit]

The unicorn's coronet is described as "composed of crosses pattée and fleurs de lis". I noticed that there weren't any crosses on it. It should be just like all the other crowns in the image without the arches or the red cap. Ipankonin 00:13, 19 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The Royal Arms are protected in the UK and several other countries by laws which have nothing to do with copyright law.
