Page Blanking by USER:MartinH.[edit]

USER:Martin H. has started an edit war by vandalizing this page, blanking all of the text describing this image several times. I have asked him not to do this on his talk page and invited him to discuss this here, which he has refused to do. His problem seems to be two things: 1. He doesn't feel that a lengthy description of the provenance of the image belongs here, and 2. He thinks that the text saying that Fred Pierce had no brand in Wyoming is original research. I agree with him to a degree: There should be a Wikipedia page about Grabill, to which this description should link. Since this is not the case, this is the only place in on Wikipedia where this information can be found. since this is Grabill's most famous photograph I think it should stay - at least until someone creates a page for Grabill. This is the most famous, iconic western photograph, As such, the identity of the "cow boy" is an extremely important historical subject and it has nowhere to go except here. This is doubly significant if it it really connected To the Pleasant Valley war. Adding material from primary and secondary sources is hardly original research. Every good Wikipedian knows that his job is to improve Wikipedia by adding more high quality text, citing reliable sources, not vandalizing it with page blanking. Also USER:Martin H. is an administrator so he should know that after your edits are reverted you are expected to discuss changes here and try to reach a consensus.
