Floating zone?[edit]

A drive-by comment on the ru-segment 'Error reports page' (ru:ВП:СО) says the crystal to have been formed via en:Czochralski process rather than en:Zone melting. While no follow up was thereafter, current image descriprtion doesn't particularly refute the point. Are there any means of distinguishing the products of the two? Is there a need for the distinguishing? Perhaps the description has to include the possible czochralski process origin for the depicted crystals. 213.171.63.227 15:24, 25 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

My info: my Ta crystal was grown via the zone melting process. The main problem is to have a "crucible" for melting the Tantalum raw material. --Alchemist-hp (talk) 18:23, 25 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
