White balance

I would like to perform a white balance on this image. Two factors may make the image yellow in hue: 1) the aging of the glaze over the oil painting or 2) the light in which the painting was photographed. It seems to me unlikely that the artist would have painted the snow yellow in the original painting, so that, by itself suggests a white balance. On the other hand, if the painting has yellowed, then not performing a white balance would represent its current state. I would like to have input before I take the step to adjust the image.
