Hello, I am one of the editors at Wikipedia and I was wondering if I could possibly use your image of Steven Seagal (http://flickr.com/photos/smtv/101516561/) for the online free encyclopedia. If you give me permission, I would upload the image for use on the page en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steven_Seagal and give you the credit and include a link back to your Flickr page. We can only use your image if you are willing to grant permission for it to fall under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License. This simply means that anyone will have the right to share and, where appropriate, to update your image. You can read this license in full at: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Text_of_the_GFDL. In summary, it states that other people might crop the image further, but you would still have your name and Flickr account as the author of the image. (I would have to crop the image to show just Steven Seagal.) For example, it would look something like en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Samuel_L._Jackson_%282006_Pebble_Beach%29.jpg Let me know if the image can be used for the free encyclopedia whenever it is convenient for you. If you do choose so, please reply back saying "I agree to release the image "With Steven Seagal" under the terms of the GFDL license". If you have any questions, message me back and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Thanks!
