Problems[edit]

I want to draw figures like in cs:HR_diagram. How can we put the values on axes? We could create it with gnuplot? If you have some tips, answer here.

The names of the figures should be:

  • Stellar evolution sun.svg
  • Stellar evolution 10 solar mass.svg
  • Stellar evolution 50 solar mass.svg

Any comment? -- Arpad Horvath 14:05, 22 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

1. Use inkscape and Soubor:HR diagram.png as a calque pattern for hand drawing.
2. There are more problems: ★ the section marked as "red giants" is in fact the horizontal giant branch, ★ the stellar development does most definitely not follow straight lines, ★ the globule state (1) should be far right outside the diagram, globules are c:a 10 to 100 K warm, ★ the "red giant" state between the "main sequence" and the "giant" state is missing. MS Painted?[edit]

Is it me, or does this look somewhat MS Painted? Even the textbooks at my school look better than this does, to be honest. (not to say the textbooks or the picture(s) in them look bad (they look really good, actually), I'm just pointing that out) w:LikeLakers2 (w:talk) 04:46, 28 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
