What appears to be the original coloured photograph, from which this B&W version is derived was published in the UK soon after the U.S. entered service (it cites the holding of the Blue Ribband, which was gained on its maiden North Atlantic voyage in July 1952. That postcard does not look like a colourisation of the B&W image, which lacks detail visible in the published postcard. It was published by "J Salmon Ltd, Sevenoaks, Eng", card no.5552 with a copyright mark - see here and here. I have not found any evidence for this photo being published in the USA, so it seems likely that it has a UK copyright. As an anonymous photo would that be 70 years from creation/publication, which would appear to be in or soon after 1952? Davidships (talk) 00:37, 12 October 2021 (UTC)
