Shadows[edit]

Not to be complaining, but I think shading these stars like marbles and giving them shadows looks really weird... they're stars, they're supposed to shine! 82.139.86.191 11:46, 12 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sizes of astronomical objects[edit]

Very nice job! Are you the source for the images in the emails and websites? I've been trying to credit these to their proper source.

Sizes not accurate[edit]

The sizes do not appear consistent with the measurements on the Wikipedia page "List of Largest Known Stars" where is it featured: [[1]]

For example: - Betelgeuse is listed as 950 SR - VY Canis Majoris is listed as 1420 SR

However, the image shows VY Canis Majoris to be well over 2x the diameter of Betelgeuse.

Some other displays also appear incorect, e.g. Mu Cephi being displayed as 2x the diameter of Betelguese, when Mu Cephi's maximum is 1420 SR and Betelgeuse is 950 SR.

I see that early versions of the image put Antares as bigger than Betelgeuse, but sizes currently listed show Antares (883 SR) is smaller than Betelgeuse (950 SR). This suggests improved measurements have been adopted in recent versions of the image.

Is it due for another version to reflect current measurements?
