Lapel pin[edit]

The lapel pin illustration also shows the pin's backing. A visitor not already familiar with lapel pins might mistake this backing for part of the design. When worn, this gold colored disk would not be visible. Anyone want to take a crack at digitally removing it? Rklawton 04:39, 20 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There is no valid reason to alter this picture: nobody will be shocked seeing this lapel pin. If you have some knowledge about this object, you can add appropriate extra description to the page. --Juiced lemon 09:11, 20 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The "valid reason" is that the pin doesn't look like the picture either when it is worn or when it is displayed in its case. Adding "by the way, this picture shows the pin clasp - which no one would actually see" seems like a poor alternative to simply editing or re-shooting the image.
