GFDL License Violations[edit]

The following websites contain[ed] version of this images and were not in compliance with the GFDL:

wrong attribution, no reference to GFDL, (C) by christian science monitor, not contacted, yet Wwcsig 14:01, 26 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
sent email via their website on Wwcsig 22:03, 26 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
resolved: That was a mistake on Audobon's part. I granted rights to publish that image for print and web in this article to csm retroactively. Wwcsig 20:57, 30 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
No attribution, no reference to GFDL, (C) statement 'Copyright 2008 by National Audubon Society', and given the csmonitor article above audubon seems to sell (or at least give away) the right to the image. Wwcsig 19:48, 29 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Update: Actually this page (http://www.audubon.org/news/pressroom/WatchList2007/BirdList.html) is a press kit for reporters to download high resolution (yet badly compressed) versions of the images from. The high-res image they took in violation of the GFDL from wikipedia and are distributing to the press is here: http://audubon.org/news/pressroom/watchlist2007/images/Saltmarsh_sharp_tailed_sparrow_WolfgangWander.jpg Wwcsig 20:25, 29 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The images have been removed from the audubon web pages as of now. Wwcsig 03:19, 30 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
resolved: Audubon and I will work out some amicable plan to work this issue out. This was a mistake on their part and they do apologize. Wwcsig 20:57, 30 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
