This is the memorial stone of the unknown soldier memorial. It reads in Arabic "In the name of Allah the most merciful At the time of President Mohammed Anwar el-Sadat President of the Arab Republic of Egypt this memorial was erected for the memory of the unknown soldiers & the martyrs of the battles of liberation that were fought at 6th of October 1973 - the 10th of Ramadan 1393
