Espeletia spp. of Guerrero according to Mavárez (2021)[edit]
According to Mavárez, Harvard Pap. Bot. 26(1): 136 (2021), the following 6 species occur in Guerrero:
- Espeletia argentea Bonpl.
- Espeletia barclayana Cuatrec.
- Espeletia cayetana (Cuatrec.) Cuatrec.
- Espeletia chocontana Cuatrec.
- Espeletia corymbosa Bonpl.
- Espeletia grandiflora Bonpl.
Alhough I am not familiar with determination, E. argentea, E. corymbosa and E. grandiflora seem less likely because of their narrower or thinner leaves. Please note that Mavárez doubts about occurrences of E. garciae Cuatrec. in Guerrero contrary to IUCN Red List. --Eryk Kij (talk) 00:45, 5 March 2024 (UTC)
