I took the photograph. I worked for a newspaper that went out of business a few years later. The negatives that were in the photo department were destroyed. The company ceased operations permanently and abandoned all the film. Management gave the photographers a couple of hours to take what they wanted from the storage area. By the time I arrived film lay scattered on the floor. Their print morgue or clipping files were donated to the Queens Public Library. I added the paper's name to clarify who I worked for at the time since I am still working in New York City at another paper. I recently found the image in a closet and thought it would be something worth sharing and I noticed there were no photos of Gerry Quarry on his page. I do not remember if the image was ever published. It was the routine at the time not to hold a story waiting for a staff photographer. Many times the paper would close with a wire photo. Nassau Coliseum is a long way from the Press' office at the time. If you feel this is not clear title then remove it. I am sorry I bothered you. dn
