Problematic data point[edit]

The data point at 400 BC with a value of 160 millions creates an unreasonable kink in the graph, most evident in the derived files File:World population growth (lin-log scale).png and File:World population growth (log-log scale).png, that is only due to the fact that this data point is taken from a different source as opposed to all other data points between 5000 BC and 800 AD, which are taken from McEvedy and Jones, and thus does not reflect a real phenomenon. If nobody objects, I will upload a new version without this data point and maybe update the derived files. –Quilbert (talk) 19:17, 3 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
