Image[edit]

The original 0.4 MP image is plainly far too saturated in its yellows. The Albright-Knox gallery presently doesn't seem to carry an online image. I've substituted a 15 MP image I found on an internet search that closely resembles the image in Thomson's and Mathews' biographies of Gauguin. Good reference images can be found on the National Gallery of Art site and at Khan Academy. It's extraordinary the original image survived the some 10 years it did, linked to numerous project pages in that time. Do editors actually look at the images they link? c1cada (talk) 08:03, 21 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Actually Albright-Knox does have a link here http://www.albrightknox.org/collection/search/piece:511/. The image they show is the same as the one I've uploaded in its colours, but a very low resolution version, the A-K I take it being one of those American institutions who feel that American copyright law doesn't really make a free gift of the nation's paintings to the world. c1cada (talk) 20:22, 26 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
