taille image[edit]

Pouvez-vous réduire la taille de cette image (10Mo) qui est excessive, à quelques centaines de Ko? Merci Hum6hum4 (talk) 07:40, 1 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

No. There are already 7 different sizes: Taille de cet aperçu : 400 × 600 pixels. Autres résolutions : 160 × 240 pixels 320 × 480 pixels 512 × 768 pixels 682 × 1 024 pixels 1 365 × 2 048 pixels 3 456 × 5 184 pixels. --Achim55 (talk) 10:55, 1 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. Thanks, in fact the reference from the French Wikipedia page of Dominique Vivant Denon downloads this file of 10Mo. If the other images in lower resolution also exist, do you know how to reference them from a wiki page? The resolution field in the file tag only affects the display... Thanks Hum6hum4 (talk) 16:45, 2 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, that's it. If you are using a mouse click not left but right - open in a new tab or window. Cord, Achim55 (talk) 17:04, 2 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hmm, no I think we're not on the same line... : That page uses the tag:[[Fichier:Père-Lachaise - Division 10 - Dominique Vivant Denon 01.jpg]] and it loads the 10Mb file. Do you know what is the path to the lower resolution images? Thanks Hum6hum4 (talk) 21:29, 2 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

One can use for example https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/c/c5/P%C3%A8re-Lachaise_-_Division_10_-_Dominique_Vivant_Denon_01.jpg/320px-P%C3%A8re-Lachaise_-_Division_10_-_Dominique_Vivant_Denon_01.jpg, but that's a web link and one cannot add web links to wiki pages for to display images, sorry. --Achim55 (talk) 22:08, 2 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

No, as you say, the web link cannot be used. The File tag must be used. There must be obviously a way to do this but I don't see how.. that requires a little more investigation... Hum6hum4 (talk) 22:02, 3 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
