deletion tag[edit]

I dispute that this image is a "clear copyright violation". There were no embedded reporters present at the skirmish were Khadr was wounded. This image was taken by a GI, on duty, so it is in the public domain, just like any other image made by an employee of a US Federal agency, in performance of his or her duty.

That someone leaked it to the press does not make it a proprietary image.

Delete There is no proof of a "GI on duty" taking this photo. A US Federal government or US Military photo is considered in the public domain when it is available at US Federal or US Military websites and must not show any restrictions. This photo was most likely taken by a PRESS and illegally uploaded to Commons.--Executioner 18:02, 18 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Someone blanked the discussion on this page. with the edit summary:
(removed discussion not applicable to this page)
Well, the first deletion tag put on this image told people to respond on the talk page. So, I do not agree that the discussion in response to that tag was "not applicable". Geo Swan (talk) 11:24, 17 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
