Thank you, I have a very interesting consideration of bus pictured on this photo.

Was a time does bus fare in abundance, and was a time this was the only kind of bus vehicle in New York City.

That time I considered this kind of bus, as very primitive. But now - all of them are gone. And here we start to regret.

Since I came in NYC in 1992, this was a first image of buses in NYC. And Ulmer Park bus depot was the last one, which moved to other models in 2011. Now their current buses seem as boring as RTSes were, but fortunately new models are coming and coming.
in 2018 three of my friends from Russia came to visit New York and all of them paid special attention to this kind of bass has another year and they disappeared
recently I've seen MetroCard bus which is exactly this model; and I've made many photos of it, and no one disturbs me to take photos
