Half of the Ripuarian language area "Dutch"?

I'd like to doubt that half of the Ripuarian language area was "Dutch."

Indeed, the official language of the Archdiocese of Cologne was closely based on Dutch until the 15th century. But still, it was a German and not a Dutch dialect. Therefore, the "affiliation" of Cologne to the Dutch area should be clearly proven by sources, since otherwise, it is a theory found. --MicBy67 (talk) 22:55, 10 July 2021 (UTC)
