I'd like to dispute the freedom of this image, based on the fact that it is claimed to be copyright held since 1998 by the City of Nagasaki as they took the aerial photos. In the thing, "El Commandante" has stated that "Public domain I, the copyright holder of this work, hereby release it into the public domain. This applies worldwide." -- is El Commandante an affiliate or worker of the City of Nagasaki? Just questioning

The copyright applies to the text on the webpage, as well as the map. The "mushroom cloud" photograph is copyrighted by Hiromichi Matsuda. However, the before and after photographs were taken by the U.S. government, thus public domain. [1] The top image on the webpage, taken from aircraft, is also public domain. -Aude (talk | contribs) 20:21, 14 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The numbers[edit]

Do anyone know what the numbers on the picture mean? I guess that 1000 and 2000 is the distance to Ground Zero, but is it metric or imperial units? --Christoffre (talk) 11:25, 19 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The distance between ground zero and the first ring labeled 1000 is round about 330 meters 85.16.6.135 18:41, 28 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
