These people, young girls especially, that are part of traditional cultures, have a different look than the people we see around us or in films, walking on the pavements/sidewalks of West European or American cities...

I feel these people are in tune with their souls.

They stand and walk and look as if life is something simple, not over bearing complex, as we know it in the big cities.. in the midst of the rows of (expensive but noisy) cars, trafic lights, trains... masses of people on the road to jobs or supermarkets...

We must urgently start thinking about "the soul" of the human being.

In Gent untill sept. 14 there is an exposition on Indigineous people, like the Kung! San and the Aboriginals by the 84 years old Danish etnologist and cineast Jens Benne. His pictures show this quality of the faces of people in a high degree: so pure...!!! Awe-inspiring.

Ethnic ties[edit]

She doesn't look at all like one would expect of an ethnicity (a tribe) of India, though. She could completely pass for Chinese. She looks even more Chinese than Tibetan, Burmese, or any of the other nations (peoples) which are geographically closer to India and to Nagaland. Interesting. no?
