Public Domain?[edit]

I'd like to point out that this is technically a derivative work of an image that was first published in 1915. Clearly the technology didn't exist in 1915 to create vector art, and this image is a vector representation (SVG) of the original work. As such, it is technically covered by copyright. In fact, there have been several images created after 1915 including a version in 1930, and versions in the ensuing years that are all derivative works, but all would technically still be under copyright. This specific image needs to be released into the public domain by the person who created the SVG in order to truly be considered public domain. Docguy (talk) 00:13, 5 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
