Correcting PD status; propose replacing with a higher DPI version of the portrait[edit]
There are a number of errors on this page; the original uploaders based their assessment of the copyright status of the image on the fact that the website originally posting the image was a government website. This is in fact a public domain image, but not for the reasons originally given. I've changed the supporting information to give what I believe to be more correct licensing with an description of the supporting argument.
I happen to have a much higher DPI version of the image (600 dpi), which I propose to upload as a replacement for the existing one. It is slightly darker, but someone who wished to do so could lighten it. Or, if you would prefer me to create alternate version, please let me know.
