Usage of French in Canada[edit]

The Government of Canada says that French (and English) are official languages in the entire country. I live in a community of 47000 in Nova Scotia, and I know more than 100 people two local schools that can speak French. Romanian in Ucraine[edit]

Can a bit of the Ucraine (Bugeac and Bucovina) can be coloured pink-red? (just like Vojvodina?) A big community of Romanians is in these parts. 212.182.160.229 21:00, 29 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What does the medium blue color mean?[edit]

French appears to have three different colors, while the rest have only two. The description says that the dark colors are for areas where the language is official and the lighter colored areas are for areas where the language is widely spoken. Based on the degree of lightness with the other languages, it appears that the color used for countries in Western and Central Africa, as well as Madagascar, is the one that does not fit. Louisiana[edit]

This map should be heavily modified[edit]

This map is terribly wrong in assuming that linguistic borders coincide with political ones, and making it one state=one language. It should be changed according to linguistic reality.--RR (talk) 11:46, 24 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
