This image should include Lebanon too. FunkMonk 12:28, 10 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, the main purpose of the image is to show how the territory of modern Syria was once divided into multiple autonomous entities, not really to show the French mandate as a whole (that's why neither Alexandretta nor Lebanon are included). Lebanon was left out when France amalgamated the other entities in 1936, so Lebanon never really belonged to unified French Syria. AnonMoos 14:29, 10 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
But wouldn't it be more appropriate for the article about the French mandate of Syria to include both Alexandretta and Lebanon, as their status were pretty much the same as that of the other ones? Then the image could also be used for the articles about those countries. FunkMonk 16:43, 10 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
There's no reason why such an image couldn't be made, but it would probably be best to upload it with a new name (so it wouldn't overwrite this one). AnonMoos 22:30, 10 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Awright. Would you be able to do it then? I don't know how to do it... Something like this:[1] FunkMonk 12:12, 12 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
It would involve importing further vector data into the image to represent the coast of Lebanon and the northern borders of the Alexandretta district. It's not really something that I would give high personal priority to, sorry (my editing of this image was limited to changing "Apello" to "Aleppo"!). AnonMoos 14:40, 12 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
