March 2017 changes[edit]

The newly updated version of this (very nice!) map seems to be factually incorrect. On this map, “A” is shown as “all days”, and “B” is shown as “Mon - Sat daytime only”. But Metrolink's website says it's the other way round: “A” is really Mon - Sat daytime only, and “B” is all days. --Gregknicholson (talk) 12:58, 1 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I have alerted the author on their talk page. Cheers, Delsion23 (talk) 19:32, 1 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
That's corrected now. --Chumwa (talk) 21:37, 1 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

January 2018 changes[edit]

This is a very nice map! TfGM have just announced changes to their service patterns which you may be intersted in.--UnimaginativeUsername (talk) 20:42, 21 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the info. I suggest we wait until we see the new coloured map mentioned in the article. It seems to suggest there will be numbered lines. I believe it will be released on 28th Jan. Delsion23 (talk) 19:37, 22 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
You're correct - they have gone for numbers. As per Reddit, they released the new map today here (second on page).--UnimaginativeUsername (talk) 22:06, 23 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I have placed a request on the author's talk page. Cheers, Delsion23 (talk) 18:59, 24 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
The map is updated mow. --Chumwa (talk) 23:26, 29 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks Chumwa, looks great! Would it be possible to use the official colours of the lines also? They are shown here. Cheers, Delsion23 (talk) 15:08, 30 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I like the idea of groups of lines which is supported with the colours used. Are the colours used anywhere outside the official map (on destination signs, in the timetable, ...)? --Chumwa (talk) 17:49, 30 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Some examples of the official signage here in Manchester include this and this. The official app uses the colours too. Also, English Wikipedia uses the official colours on Manchester Metrolink articles (e.g. Cornbrook tram stop, Manchester Metrolink), so it would be nice if the Wikimedia map matched. So with a tear in my eyes... --Chumwa (talk) 21:04, 31 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I apologise :( But thanks for your fantastic work! Delsion23 (talk) 12:59, 1 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Nice[edit]

Congratulations on designing a clearer and more attractive map than TfGM. We'll definitely be using this over on Wikivoyage. --ThunderingTyphoons! (talk) 08:33, 6 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Needs updating[edit]

The en:Trafford Park Line will be opening on the 22nd March, so this will need to be updated soon. G-13114 (talk) 13:38, 19 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I've made my best effort to update it myself, which I hope will do for now. although I've never attempted to make one of these before, so I might have done something wrong. Please feel free to correct/suggest any improvements on my version. G-13114 (talk) 19:21, 29 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Well done, looks great! Just did a little tidying myself around Parkway. DelUsion23 (talk) 20:31, 30 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, I've done some further improvements to make it look more professional, I think it's about as near perfect as it can be now. I hope User:Chumwa the original creator who appears to be away at the moment will approve of my modifications to their work. G-13114 (talk) 12:03, 31 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I've uploaded now an updated version on base of the original map. I hope this new version is as least as good as the super works of Delusion23 and G-13114! --Chumwa (talk) 08:58, 13 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Hello @G-13114 and Delusion23: sorry to bother you. Would one of you mind making another alteration to this map? The red line now terminates at Deansgate-Castlefield (per D-C live departures and the official map). It's hopefully quite a minor edit, but nonetheless I'm grateful for people with skills I lack. Cheers! --ThunderingTyphoons! (talk) 18:33, 4 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
