Attribution?[edit]

I had just uploaded a higher resolution version of this image, when I noticed a discrepancy. The source of the smaller image says it is painted by Jacques-Antoine-Marie Lemoine (1751-1824), but the source of the larger image says it is painted by Marie-Victoire Lemoine (1754-1820). Which is correct? The new upload is certainly not a painted copy, because the images are exactly the same, even up to two faint scratches at the right in the image. Although I personally can not spot it in the image, the source Sotheby's says it is signed and dated as Vic.re Lemoine/1781 in the middle right, so this would definitly point the Marie Victoire Lemoine. The source of the smaller image does not clarify it's attribution. I therefore assume that the painting was made by Marie-Victoire Lemoine (1754-1820), and not by Jacques-Antoine-Marie Lemoine (1751-1824). Jan Arkesteijn (talk) 20:29, 9 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
