current flow[edit]

If I'm reading that diagram correctly, it shows electrons moving toward the - terminal/electrode. If that is the case, either the electrodes (their labels) or the arrows will need to be switched, because electrons are negative and the - electrode would be an electron source, the + being a sink. --Thinboy00 03:13, 31 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

As the caption states, the arrows show the direction of the current, which (for historical reasons) is opposite to the flow of electrons. —Ilmari Karonen (talk) 11:28, 22 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
