== Summary == Lunar Ferroan Anorthosite #60025 (Plagioclase Feldspar). Collected by Apollo 16 from the Lunar Highlands near Descartes Crater. This sample is currently on display at the National Museum of Natural History in Washington, DC. Plaque states: At 4.5 billion years old, this anorthosite is approximately the same age as the Moon itself. Made mostly of plagioclase feldspar, it is thought to be a sample of the Moon's early feldspar crust. == Licensing == PD-self zh:Image:Lunar_Ferroan_Anorthosite_60025.jpg Image:Lunar Ferroan Anorthosite 60025.jpg
