Laksa?[edit]

Is this dish really called Laksa in Thailand? Laksa is a Malay and Singaporean dish, not Thai. Thailand does have noodles dishes where noodles are served in a curry soup. Maybe this is one of them?Takeaway (talk) 17:45, 9 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hello Takeaway, it might be the one that you think it is, "noodles dishes served in a curry soup". I will start learning about Thailand cuisine today. • The Thai noodles in this curry soup are called "Kanom Jeen" but to get the correct name for this dish, the type of curry is also needed. Do you remember if it was a meat based (pork or chicken) curry or based on seafood?Takeaway (talk) 23:26, 9 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I usually keep notes of what I eat, but not for this picture. I think it was chicken, you can see a piece of chicken on top. Thanks again, I really appreciate your help. Sakurai Midori (talk) 14:57, 10 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I really can't identify the dish. All I can say is that if it contains chicken, the best name for this dish would be "Kanom jeen with a chicken curry sauce" where 'kanom jeen' designates Thai rice noodles. Takeaway (talk) 17:07, 11 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
