Crop to remove this awful, ugly attribution. —Justin (koavf)TCM 03:54, 2 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Not done It's there for a reason. See Commons:Administrators' noticeboard/Archive 74#User:Nightshooter - block & deletion request. We are not going to put reusers at risk because you find something "ugly". --Majora (talk) 04:13, 2 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Majora: I did see it. Creative Commons allows anyone to remix the content and this is clearly superior for any practical use. Are you arguing that a cropped version isn't superior? —Justin (koavf)TCM 04:15, 2 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
And anyone else is allowed to do whatever they want. We are not going to host that version as the main one per properly reached consensus. Period. --Majora (talk) 04:16, 2 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Majora: This reads a lot like capitulating to terrorists or temper tantrums and we should take a lead on this. Sorry to see how the community evidently caved to his baseless lawsuits. —Justin (koavf)TCM 04:27, 2 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
If we were the ones being sued I'd agree with you. But we weren't. I have a particular dislike of copyright trolls and this is how the community decided to deal with this specific one. I don't make the decisions here I'm afraid. I just enforce the community's consensus. --Majora (talk) 04:29, 2 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Funnily (or sadly?) enough, one of the photos by this person is used as the lead image on w:Copyright troll which kinda tells you how bad this apparently got. --Majora (talk) 04:31, 2 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
