Subject:Image request for Wikipedia
Hello, I am one of the administrators at Wikipedia, the online free encyclopedia, and I was wondering if we could possibly use your image "ian mcshane and kate mara" (http://flickr.com/photos/albex/400282938/) for the articles on you and the other two actors. Right now Wikipedia is one of the top ten most-viewed websites on the Internet, and it is possible that thousands of people could see your image over time. Additionally, we would give you the credit on the image's page and include a link back to your Flickr page (if you wish), which would drive more viewers to your profile. If you give us permission, I would upload the image for use on the page en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kate_Mara, en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ian_McShane, and en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alison_Becker and possibly other articles.
We can only use your image if you are willing to grant permission for it to fall under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Text_of_the_GFDL), the Creative Commons Attribution (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/), or the Creative Commons Attribution ShareAlike License (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/). If you gave approval, the image would be uploaded to look something like en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Samuel_L._Jackson_%282006_Pebble_Beach%29.jpg
Let me know if the image can be used for the free encyclopedia whenever it is convenient for you. If you do choose so, please reply back saying "I agree to release the image "ian mcshane and kate mara" under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, the Creative Commons Attribution, or the Creative Commons Attribution Sharealike." Sorry for the delay. After speaking with another administrator, they stated that we wouldn't have to use your name. I would just need you to send me a message back saying that you took the picture, didn't want your name attached to it, and that you'd release it under the GNU Free Documentation License (since you wouldn't want to use the Attribution licenses). Then I'll be able to upload the image and add the images to their respective articles. Let me know if you have any further questions.
