He is described here (by John Francis Campbell) in two different sketches as Sir Mungo Murray, 1668-1700. Son of 2nd Earl of Atholl. Reference: John Francis Campbell sketch. Lord Mungo Murray: died 1700 in Panama whilst establishing a Scottish plantation settlement there during the Darian expedition. John Michael Wright painted him at least twice.
