Flat Earth or sphere

I think, at 1400 nobody knew that the earth is a sphere. So I doubt it, that Gower describes the earth as a sphere! Mattes 17:05, 12 February 2006 (UTC)

It might be a disc, but it certainly looks like a sphere. Besides, that round thing might represent the world (including the heaven dome) instead of the earth. --Javier ME 22:30, 13 July 2007 (UTC)
