How can this painting be from 1776 if the title says "Koopman en bankier te Amsterdam, in 1796 voorzitter van de Nationale Vergadering" ? I can't see the signature and the date on the top right as written in the description. Martin // discuter 17:53, 28 June 2010 (UTC)

The sources I have come across so far all say 1776. According to the RKD and the AHM it's signed and dated "L.B. Coclers ft 1776" (although I can't find the signature on the pic either). The title must be posthumous, so we'll have to believe the RKD and AHM, I think. Regards, Vincent Steenberg (talk) 18:07, 28 June 2010 (UTC)
