Hi @SergeWoodzing,
I removed the category because the woman in the picture is not wearing a Kaftan but a simple dress. Regards. Riad Salih (talk) 20:17, 9 March 2024 (UTC)

- Thanks for the clarification. In our region, kaftans are known to be worn by women and have a completely different look. Perhaps we should reconsider naming the categories since they represent completely different kinds of clothing. Riad Salih (talk) 20:28, 9 March 2024 (UTC)
- In the USA & Europe mens' kaftans became popular with hippies in the late 1960s. When the actor Marlon Brando gained weight he popularized them even more, and many overweight men began wearing them for that reason. Kaftan is a good comprehensive name for many different kinds of floor-length shirts. --SergeWoodzing (talk) 08:14, 10 March 2024 (UTC)
